After being nominated for a national volunteering award, Henry Gillanders (WSF Level 3 coach) has won the award for the Dublin City area.
In 2007 three like-minded coaches came together with a goal of introducing squash to junior players in Mount Pleasant LTC.
Through Henry's hard work and tireless determination and energy, the club's junior programme has gone from strength to strength. Not only has he introduced 100's of children to the game at the grassroots level, he has also helped many other players achieve their goals on the National and International stage.
He is currently coaching over 50 players every week, aged from 4 to 18 years old, as well as finding time to run his successful piano sales business.
